Coucou!

Sorry for not updating yesterday, but hello!

Christmas wasn't as big as usual because all our family is in Australia. Bonnie was the luckiest, yes, she got a baby doll that is not far at all from a real baby, she can cry (authentic tears), giggle and suck on her bottle or dummy. Odette got a big art set and me, I didn't get something really special, but Mum said I might get a DS X for my birthday in March.
I'll see you tonight or tomorrow because we're eating at the Torellis' for another Pasta Party, and Eric demanded another post on the blog.

A toute à l'heure...

En vacances!!!

At the moment we're on holidays, yipee!!! We go back to school the 5th of January.
So I'll try to add a bit more to the blog, updating each day???
At the moment we're just about to have dinner before going dancing at the Salle de Fetes, guided by Anka Hesse (a village mum, the mum of Odette's best friend).

Joyeux Anniversaire Hugh!!!

Today was Hugh's birthday, he turned 3. Unfortunatley I didn't get any photos, but we opened the presents this morning. He recieved 3 boxes of Playmobil, all horse stuff.
Then this afternoon, after school we had a bit of a party inviting 3 families over after school : Torellis', Hesses' and Petrattos'. The Hesses' also offered some Playmobil, this time a motorbike!
Hugh was also happy because when you're 3 you can take the bus, so he took the bus with all his friends!

Happy Birthday Hugh!!!

P.S. Two of the horse sets that Hugh recieved are here and here.

Another collage from Picasa

Picasa

Picasa is super cool!!! You can do some really cool stuff including this collage to go with here. Plus it takes 10 seconds to download from the internet. There is also PicasaWeb where you can show your photos on the internet or keep them private.
I suggest Picasa!!!

P.S. I'll try to send some more super stuff soon!

Yesterday

Yesterday when we woke up there was snow half way down the mountains!!! (The second time this season).
And...Mum and Bonnie walked down to the kiosque when little snowflakes started to fall!!! But melt the second after.
In the afternoon Bonnie, Mum and I went to the Bourse d'Enfance in St Vincent de Mercuze, and yes it snowed a bit again!!! At the Bourse d'Enfance we bought a dolls pram, carrier, bibs and an play mat (with boots for Hugh and a snow suit for Odette).
Laurine then came over to play and we had so much fun with the new stuff!

Sorry

Sorry, I made a mistake with homophones and homonyms in the last post though I've changed it now.

School Exams

Last week (and next Monday) my class has had exams (evaluations) in maths, grammar, vocabulary, numeration, conjugation and on Friday, spelling. I think the exam in spelling was easier for me because the exercises were on homophones, and if I'm not sure I can just translate the word into English. For example: est (is) and et (and) sound the same in French, but not in English.
It is super cool knowing 2 languages!!! (Now I'm going for German!)

Courseton

A few weeks ago Yr 1 - Yr 5 had a Courseton (cross-country race). Unfortunatley I (Sophie) was sick and couldn't participate, but Bonnie did well and became champion girl of her year.

So, today we held our own courseton with the kids competing and mum and dad giving stamps on their "dossard*".It was a good event during 10 minutes. Odette and Sophie's team won with 18 points (stamps) and Bonnie became the over-all winner with 111/2 points.

Bonnie marked 111/2 points.
Sophie marked 10 points. .
Odette marked 8 points.
Hugh marked 41/2 points.
Odette and Sophie's team marked 18 points.
Bonnie and Hugh's team marked 16 points

New Snow

It has been quite cold here lately, like today at 4.30pm I was looking at the temperature and it was the same as in Australia as here and in Oz it is 10.30pm!!!
Seen as it has been quite cold and thunder stormy it means that there is new white snow on the mountains, and I think it looks like chocolate chip ice-cream!!!

Sortie à Chambery

Yesterday Mum, Bonnie and I (Sophie) went out for the day to Chambery (a major city around 30kms from us). The main reason that we went was because we were getting a part for the not very good washing-machine here, that blew. But why did we even go?, because the part didn't work and today Mum, Dad and Hugh just went and bought a new washing machine!

Anyway, to our day! Well, we set off and it started to drizzle a bit, and then it got a bit worse and it started to really rain. And then, you couldn't even see where we were going because we were caputured by grey clouds, fast rains, and no one even brought a jumper! Luckily the umbrella was still in the car. But why did we need it? We didn't, because in Chambery it was a sunny day!

We first got the part for the washing-machine, then we visted KIABI, that mum said was the most recommended store. But not any more says she, nor us, maybe it's the new winter selection, but the clothes were not nice! I'm not sure where we went next, but we visited two King Jouet shops, 4 house decoration shops and a strange resturant called "Hippopotamus", it was very nice inside, the tables all set, chips on the bar and the wine fridge open, but no one there! We did hear somes noises coming from the kitchen, but when I called out "Bonjour, est-que quelqun est là?" still no one came, very strange!!!

Believe that it was so cold when we went, because when we came back, it was so hot in the car!
Got to go to bed, Good Night.

Six mois passé!!!

Today, we have been in France for 6 months! It has passed so quick, and it seems as though we're leaving so soon, though I do miss my Australian friends. xoxo

Above: Only some photos from our half-year.

Yesterday we met Gaby and George and went up the mountains to l'Alpe d'Huez, there is a very nice park there with many lakes, we had a very nice day, though we were above the tree line, so there was no shade so we were a bit hot.
